MITSUBISHI LANCER X

Mitsubishi India finally launched the much-awaited 10th Generation of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X in the Indian market. The high-performance sedan is popularly known as the Lancer Evo, or the Lancer Evo X. The car was initially designed for the Japanese market, but increasing demand in the “grey import” forced the carmaker to take it to the European and US markets.

MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION IX

It is so hard to not put this car in the number 1 spot for the best sports car you can buy for less than $65,000. Starting at $56,789 the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, most often referred to as simply “The Evo” is the best offering from the Japanese car maker since the days of the Mitsubishi 3000GT (GTO).

Initially the Evo was sold in Australia under a 100 units/year import limit, which not only made the Evo expensive but also stopped the street machines from lifting Mitsubishi’s image as a performance manufacturer. The Subaru Impreza WRX STi was all there was to pick from if you were after a true rally car, sure it was bigger, a little heavier, but it was just as fast and the difference between the two was usually just the price.

MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE

The 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse ranks 8 out of 8 Affordable Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 63 published reviews and test drives of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

Reviewers say the 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse has an aggressive look, but lacks the performance to back it up. Although the Eclipse’s affordable sports car rivals offer more thrilling performance, the Eclipse is well-suited to those who seek a sporty design, but don’t need a powerful engine under the hood.

The 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse doesn’t perform as well as many of its affordable sports car rivals. Reviewers say that while four-cylinder models are adequate for commuting, you shouldn’t expect them to burn rubber. In addition to being short on power, the Eclipse is front-wheel drive, which is uncommon for an affordable sports car. This means that its handling isn’t as engaging as cars like the Mazda Miata or Nissan 370Z.

MITSUBISHI ASX

If first impressions count, then Mitsubishi won’t have too much trouble finding friends for its new compact SUV crossover, the 2010 ASX.

It’s sized right, priced right, and there is an appealing edge to its lines. Though shorter than the Outlander, it sits on exactly the same Lancer-based platform and wheelbase as the Outlander.

But there is more personality in the snub-nosed terrier looks and ‘docked’ tail of the ASX (or Active Smart Crossover).

We like its lines: it has got a bit of funky charm about it. And that won’t do it any harm among ‘lifestyle’ buyers looking for a versatile small wagon.

Available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations – the four-wheel-drive system also lifted straight from the Outlander - the ASX is lined up squarely against the likes of Nissan’s category-bending Dualis.

MITSUBISHI GALANT

The Mitsubishi Galant was introduced in the market since 1969 by the Mitsubishi Motors. The word “Galant” in French means “chivalrous”. It is often considered as the Compact or mid size car with body styles of Wagon, Sedan and Hatchback. At present the Galant is in the ninth generation, offering various advanced options and additional features to suit the present condition of the demanded buyers.

MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER

The Outlander SUV is the latest model in India from the Mitsubishi stable. This handsome and sturdy looking SUV has already made a great impact in North America, Japan, Australia, Canada, and Western Europe and now is all set to rock Indian roads.

Created with care and detail, Outlander makes it debut with sparkling styling, unblemished performance, and creative engineering. The five-seater SUV boasts of a classy and spacious cabin loaded with luxurious features.

The Outlander competes with the Honda CR-V and Chevrolet Captiva in the Indian market.

MITSUBISHI PAJERO

To tap the huge potential of the SUV market in India, Mitsubishi, with its Indian partner Hindustan Motors (HM), imported the Pajero in March 2002. Initially, the Pajero was to be imported as completely-built-unit and sold in select dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Chandigarh. Now, HM produces the lower-end 2,800cc diesel version of the vehicle, importing complete knock-down units. The new Mitsubishi Pajero SFX has received a refreshing facelift. The vehicle is assembled at HM's Thiruvallur (Tamil Nadu) plant, where it produces Mitsubishi's mid-size car Lancer. This third-generation Pajero is available globally with a 3.2L diesel, engine but in India it is powered by a 2.8L turbo-diesel engine. Adopting a 'One Country One Price' policy, Mitsubishi vehicles are priced the same throughout the length and breadth of the country. In India, the Pajero SFX is available in one variant.

MITSUBISHI MONTERO

November 18, 2010 - HM-Mitsubishi Motors today launched BS IV compliant Mitsubishi Montero in Mumbai. Apart from new emission norms qualified variant, the exterior has got some changes. The New Montero sports the same 4 cylinder in line, 3200cc, turbo-diesel engine that is mated to a manual 5 speed gearbox. The new engine in the car enables it to produce maximum power of 199.28 bhp, 37 bhp up, and maximum torque of 450 NM- extra 59 NM is added.
