The Outlander SUV is the latest model in India from the Mitsubishi stable. This handsome and sturdy looking SUV has already made a great impact in North America, Japan, Australia, Canada, and Western Europe and now is all set to rock Indian roads.

Powertrain & Performance
The car is available only in a Base petrol variant. It is endowed with a 2.4L MIVEC I4 engine that delivers 168 bhp of power. The gearbox offered is a 6-speed INVECS-III CVT with a 6-speed manual mode. The six pre-selected gear ratios can be controlled through paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.
The Outlander offers an option of four wheel drive and also boasts of an advanced suspension package which includes a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension combination that provides confident handling on city roads as well as on highways. The 215 mm ground clearance ensures that the underbody of the SUV is protected even on the highly rugged terrain.
Build & Styling
Built on the latest Lancer platform, the SUV carries an elegant and attractive design. Beautifully placed stylish headlamps with washers beneath, integrated fog lamps, colour keyed power door mirrors, LED tail lamps, chrome plated door handles, and rear wind deflector with high mount LED stop lamp form an imposing image.
The interior is also well taken care of with an array of comfort and convenience features. A customized 650-watt Rockford Fosgate Music System and well designed instrument cluster with stylish red LCD read-outs and multi information switch highlight the dashboard.
Seats are wrapped in plush beige leather. Driver's seat has 4-way electric adjust function and can be folded fully flat. The rear seats have one touch tumble type function which means that it's extremely easy to fold them to make more space for luggage. The rear seat centre armrest comes with cup holders.
Convenience features include anti-pinch power windows, automatic door locking system, automatic headlamp turn off feature, cruise control, and paddle shifters on the steering wheel that make gear shifts absolutely effortless. With the Keyless Operation System (KOS), doors can be opened just by touching the door handles and engine can be started remotely without the key.
Mitsubishi Motors has packed a decent amount of safety features into the Outlander. The SUV gets a tough RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction. Front dual stage driver & passenger airbags come standard. An anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution technology ensures a safe and stable ride and an engine immobilizer system and security alarm keep the SUV from being stolen.
